Robbie Williams' friends bring him cigarettes as a gift when they visit him in Los Angeles.

The Stoke-On-Trent-born singer only smokes Silk Cut brand cigarettes but has difficulty buying them in America.

Robbie said: "Silk Cut are hard to find in Los Angeles, so I get people to bring them out when they visit. I don't like smoking anything else."

Before Christmas, Robbie vowed to quit smoking in 2007.

The 'Angels' singer, who smokes up to 60 cigarettes a day, insisted he was determined to beat his nicotine addiction after overcoming his problems with alcohol and drugs.

He said: "I want to give up cigarettes for good in 2007. I may go and see a hypnotist, that seems like a good idea. I smoke loads and I really don't want to anymore. But I'm terrified of giving up. I'm a fat bloke inside this body and the minute I stop smoking, I will put on weight."
