Sheryl Crow has vowed to stay in Texas until she snares herself a cowboy.

The country singer has no plans to sell her Texan Lone Star estate - which she bought with former lover and Austin native Lance Armstrong - because she wants to find a new Texan man.

Sheryl announced during her performance at a rodeo on Wednesday night (07.03.07): "My sister said I needed to come out here and just say it, 'I'm looking for a cowboy'.

"I'm not giving up on Texas - yet."

The 45-year-old performed her hit 'Are You Strong Enough to Be My Man', pausing midway to shout "Anybody up for the job?"

The evening, 'Paint the Rodeo Pink', was themed in honour of Sheryl's battle against breast cancer.

Pink cowboy hats were on sale with awareness ribbons on the brim - and the singer urged the audience to raise awareness of the illness.

She said: "This is a real special night, because this time last year I got diagnosed with breast cancer and we couldn't come and we were so disappointed.

"We appreciate you wearing your pink. I know cowboys don't normally wear pink - but real cowboys can get away with it."

Sheryl arrived on her black-and white spotted horse, which reared up and then galloped around the ring before she dismounted to perform.

After forgetting the words to 'Soak up the Sun' she joked: "That, ladies and gentlemen, is how you know it's live - when you screw up the lyrics. No lip-synching here."

Sheryl left the rodeo in a stylish red Mustang convertible.

Actress Kate Winslet has accepted a "substantial" settlement in her libel action over a magazine claim that she had visited a diet doctor.

Grazia magazine had suggested she was concerned about her weight, despite publicly criticising Hollywood's obsession with thin women.

The weekly has apologised and accepted that she went to the doctor in connection with a neck problem.

The settlement will be donated to an eating disorder charity. The story surfaced after Winslet visited the Chinese Healing Institute in Santa Monica, California.

At the time the 32-year-old, who was nominated for best actress at this year's Oscars, said she was "very upset".

In a statement Grazia said: "We are satisfied that she did not go to [a doctor] seeking any treatment for weight loss.

"We are very happy to set the record straight and sincerely apologise to Kate for the distress caused."

Through her solicitor, Ms Winslet said: "I am delighted that this matter has been resolved, and the record set straight. I am not a hypocrite.

"I have always been, and shall continue to be, honest when it comes to body/weight issues."

In December she said her concern over the effect of fashion magazines on girls was so great she refused to have them in the same house as her six-year-old daughter, Mia.

The Oscar-winning actress insists she is not the "superwoman" she is portrayed to be.

Cate says : "That's so not me. I'm a mess!

"I guess there is a lot of positive spin about me, but I'm certainly not a superwoman."

The 37-year-old 'Good German' star also confessed she still gets star-struck when she is introduced to other Hollywood celebrities.

She said: "I don't see myself as a celebrity. When we were performing 'Hedda Gabler' on stage in Brooklyn, it was thrilling for everyone when Meryl Streep and Jane Fonda came to see the show. My problem is, I can be shy around these people."

Jennifer Aniston has quit smoking and caffeine as part of an extreme detox.

The former 'Friends' star - who recently made a cameo appearance in Courteney Cox's new series 'Dirt' - is purging herself of toxins in a bid to cleanse her system.

'Dirt' actress Laura Allen said: "Jen was doing a total cleansing. She did a lot of yoga to stop smoking.

"Between takes, it would have been tempting to go outside and have a cigarette. Instead, Jen was clinging to Courteney. She said how hard it was."

Jennifer, 38 - who was a chain smoker despite her healthy diet and exercise regime - is also struggling to get through the day without caffeine.

Laura said: "I had a Diet Coke on-set, and she seemed desperate for it."

The 32-year-old actress also lifted the lid on the lesbian kiss Jennifer filmed with best friend Courteney, 42, in the season finale of 'Dirt'.

She says : "Courteney has some steamy sex scenes. This was actually really tame."

Penélope Cruz is to star in Woody Allen's next film.

The 32-year-old actress is expected to start shooting with the legendary filmmaker in Barcelona in July.

She will co-star in the movie with fellow Spanish actor Javier Bardem.

Bardem, 38, revealed he had spoken with Allen by phone, but had not seen a script.

As is usual with Allen movies, the title and screenplay details are being secretly guarded.

However, it is has been revealed the film will be shot in both Spanish and English and focus on a series of love entanglements.

The movie will reunite Oscar-nominees Bardem and Cruz, who worked together on the hit 1992 Spanish movie 'Jamón, jamón'.
