Nicole said: "Can we have some of these? We're going to need them, it's going to be a long night."

The actresses, both carrying glittering clutch bags stuffed as much candy as they could into their bags.

Nicole was wearing a bright red Balenciaga halter-neck gown with a big bow on her neck, while Naomi showed off her new baby bump in a pale yellow Escada dress with a black sash below her bust.

Beyoncé Knowles shed a tear when 'Dreamgirls' co-star Jennifer Hudson won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar on Sunday night (25.02.07).

The singer-and-actress - wearing a revealing white Armani gown - was overcome by emotion as the 'American Idol' contestant tearfully accepted her Oscar.

A source said: "Beyoncé wiped away tears as she watched Jennifer get up on stage to accept her award."

Later on, the two girls performed a medley of songs from 'Dreamgirls'.

Beyoncé's track 'Listen' was nominated for Best Song, along with 'Love You I Do' and 'Patience' - both of which are also from the film.

Beyoncé - who wasn't nominated at this year's Academy Awards - has previously admitted it is her dream to one day win an Oscar.

The Oscar for Best Song eventually went to 'I Need to Wake Up' from the global warming documentary 'An Inconvenient Truth', which was made and stars Al Gore

Beyoncé and Jennifer were rumoured to have an ongoing rivalry on the set of 'Dreamgirls', but both have denied the claims.

Jones Obsesses About Sexy Shakira.... Norah Jones has a secret obsession with Shakira and would let her bandmate boyfriend bed the sexy Colombian.

The sultry jazz starsays she'd give her lover a pass to spend a night with Shakira because she could understand the temptation.

Jones says, "She's hot. I like that she's this pop star, but she's also kind of unique and weird.

"I always sing Shakira when I karaoke."

But Jones is the first to admit she lacks the lovely Latina's allure: "When I'm singing, the goal is definitely to seduce, I'm not Beyonce (Knowles) or Christina (Aguilera). If I'm gonna get you, I'm gonna get you by whispering."

Radcliffe Criticised For Smoking On Stage.... Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has drawn criticism from anti-smoking groups after he lit up on the London stage.

The 17-year-old has been photographed smoking a cigarette during his performance as Alan Strang in a London revival of Peter Shaffer's controversial 1973 play Equus.

But anti-smoking organisation Ash claims Radcliffe is abusing his position as a role model to millions of Harry Potter fans by lighting up in public.

Ash spokeswoman Amanda Sandman says, "It is regrettable that he is smoking, whatever the circumstances.

"He is a role model for young people and if he decided to take up smoking in real life that would be of great concern. Even though it is an act, nicotine is highly addictive and he could find himself hooked."

However, Equus producer David Pugh has defended Radcliffe, saying, "Daniel smokes in the play. He doesn't smoke in life. It's in the script and always has been. It is not gratuitous.

"In fact, it's a very beautiful scene where Alan Strang is with his psychiatrist. The psychiatrist offers him a cigarette and it's really the first time the man and boy bond as they talk and smoke."

Dame Helen Mirren and Forest Whitaker were crowned queen and king of the Oscars last night (25.02.07).

The stars of 'The Queen' and 'The Last King of Scotland' won Best Actress and Best Actor respectively, while Martin Scorsese won Best Director for 'The Departed' - his first win out of six nominations in the category and 31 years since his first nomination.

As she accepted her award, Helen, struggling to hold the statuette, said: "I've got my purse in one hand, my earring in the other. Thank you, Academy. You know, my sister told me that all kids love to get gold stars, and this is the biggest and the best gold star that I have ever had in my life."

An emotional Forest said: "Thank you. I wrote something down, because I thought if it would happen that I would be a little overwhelmed and I am.

"When I was a kid, the only way that I saw movies was from the backseat of my family's car - at the drive-in. It wasn't my reality to think I would be acting in movies, so receiving this honour tonight tells me that it's possible. It is possible for a kid from east Texas, who believes in his dreams, commits himself to them with his heart, to touch them, and to have them happen."

In his acceptance speech , Scorsese joked: "Could you double-check the envelope, please?" 'The Departed' also won Best Film and Best Adapted Screenplay.

Other winners on the night included Jennifer Hudson, who walked away with the Best Supporting Actress accolade for her performance in 'Dreamgirls', while Alan Arkin took Best Supporting Actor for his role in 'Litte Miss Sunshine'.

Earlier in the night, Arkin said on the red carpet that he hoped his co-star, ten-year-old Abigail Breslin, nominated for Best Supporting Actress, lost.

He said: "I hope she loses frankly. No, I'm serious. I am not joking.

"I hope she loses. What, next year she is going to get the Nobel Prize, it's enough. She has had enough attention. I love her and I love her family and I feel enough is enough. She is a kid, she needs to have a childhood. I hope she loses."

British singer JOSS STONE's saucy lyrics don't impress her ex-boyfriend - she hardly ever had sex with him.

BEAU DOZIER dated the British singer for two years before splitting late last year (NOV06), and claims the soul star preferred holding hands than getting intimate in bed.

And he was stunned when he heard her new song TELL ME 'BOUT IT, in which the 19-year-old sings she is "addicted to her man" and begs him to "do it to her".

He says, "Our romance just wasn't sexy. That must have come after my relationship with her.

"We had a spiritual relationship, but we were always surrounded by backing singers, or on a tour bus, so there was barely ever any time for sex."

Pamela Anderson is urging fans to give their shoes the boot - if they're made from animal skins.

The staunch animal rights campaigner was horrified to discover recently her favourite Ugg boots were manufactured from real skin, and now she's putting her best foot forward to seek more humane alternatives.

The creative blonde is even considering setting up an internet shoe shop boasting her own designs.

Anderson tells fans on her website, "I'm getting rid of our Uggs - I feel so guilty for that craze being started around Baywatch days. I used to wear them with my red swimsuit to keep warm - never realising that they were skin! I thought they were shaved kindly?

"People like to tell me all the time that I started that trend - yikes! Well let's start a new one - don't buy Uggs.

"Buy Stella McCartney or juicy boots. I'm looking for alternatives myself for my boys and the men in my life. I'm designing some right now for my family and will try and have some available on my website soon."
